Howdy folks! I wanted to share some pictures with you from our Bible study we have every week. We are not your regular Bible study attendees, as you can see. Things get a little wild at times!
These pictures are from a particular week when the teacher was gone and there was a camera left on the table for the people to do with as they wish....I don't think that will happen again anytime soon! There was couch jumping, carousing and see-no-evil antics which would NEVER had happened had the teacher been present! It's a good things these guys go to a Bible study regularly, cause they need it! (Ha ha).
If you are in the mid-west area, and are interested in a church, here's a link to look up.
We just had our huge concert extravaganza (see previous post) and it went very well. The majority of the attendees were college students, which was exactly what we desired. The henna booth was exotic and bohemian looking and it was hopping with customers! I have no idea how many tattoos I gave on Saturday, but let's just say that when I closed my eyes that night, I saw swirly henna designs behind my eyelids! The whole gig was an absolute blast, though. It's neat that I can serve God by doing henna tattoos (all the proceeds went to missions in India).
This whole church thing is a major part of my life, so I thought I'd share a little about it with you. Obviously, I am fortunate to have a group of friends who like to study the Bible, but don't take life TOO seriously! We have a bit of fun in the process.

Wow, what a fun group of folks! Never been much into studying the bible, but you all make me want to join in! I'm so happy you can come together and be free in many ways. You are lucky to have such a loving community, a family really.
Peace.
Wow! I want to come to your Bible study classes!! I'll bring a keg.
How 'bout a keg of root beer Dan? I'd be in for that!
FYI- I'm fortunate to call these folks my friends, and they really do have fun with Jesus! Now, that said- LP you HAVE to call me your friend. You have to now, huh?
Seriously, though. I was fortunate to find said church through this study before they moved to the next town over. They are as cool as they look . . . :). . . and a lot more weird!
(I'm sitting across the room from you now as we're watching the movie. If you heard me laugh at an inappropriate time, it was at your pictures!)
gotta keep it light. dour countenances need not apply.
GZ-
Yeah- we are lucky. It's really like a little family- very idyllic and surreal (although none of us are perfect, of course!!)
Dan-
Yeah! Bring a keg, but I would prefer that no one have more than 2 beers or so since the bible says not to be drunk.
A-
A root beer keg is OK too, but the same rule applies as it does to the beer- no more than 2 or so (too much root beer is bad for you- LOL)
PS- I didn't notice you laughing at an inappropriate time- mostly because I'm USED to you laughing at inappropriate times!! HA!
Lime-
I KNOW you like to keep it light from your incredibly fun and at times riskay blog!! I love it!
Liz! I love the lat picture. see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil! :)
We were taught all this in our school!
Thanks for coming over and visiting my site...glad to hear your son's foot healed cleanly...
Hey there, L.P., it was nice to have you visit me today. Ironically, I was thinking about you this morning - came here, but you don't want to know my opinion of Bible study... : )
Nonetheless, I thought of you because you are the kind of Christian I could wish for more of. You value the environment, animals and vegetarian/natural foods - all things dear to my heart. And you also seem to be a non-judgemental, accepting sort of gal. We don't share the same religious views, but I respect you and embrace anyone whose faith is a positive force. If it turns out that there's a heaven of some sort, maybe I'll see you there... along with the Budhists and Jews and Janes and atheists... ; )
It's good to see a Christian wearing a lampshade, by the way.
Looks like your group needs more adult supervision! LOL Very funny group you've got there.
Yeah, that pretty looks like one of the Bible studies I've hosted ...
A little fun never hurts anyone. Have many more great fun.
It looks like you guys know how to have fun. That is so refreshing to see.
I like this that it was not your typical , regular bible study. Sounds like a place that people can come as they are, let down the hair and be themselves. I'm at a place in life where being real is very important to me. way to go.
Hi, thanks for stopping by my blog. Advice is always welcome there :)
Sounds like you had a lot of fun. I know what you mean when you have been doing something all day and you close your eyes ad still see it! You must have done a lot of henna!
Hey Princess...
That looks grand. Just stopping by to say hi. I have been away a while but now I am back.
Hope you are well
Blessings
Melanie
